Mr Stephen Evans, BA(Acc), FAICD (Non-Executive Chairman)

Stephen is the Managing Director of a leading Adelaide based accounting firm RJC Evans & Co, which was established in 1920. Stephen has over 25 years experience in advising small, medium and large corporations in relation to tax, accounting, financial and business related matters. He is a member of the Taxation Institute of Australia, National Institute of Accountants and a fellow of the Institute of Company Directors.

Stephen has been the non-executive Director of Chesser Resources since the 29th March 2007. He is currently the non-executive Director of Panax Geothermal Limited, Avenue Resources Limited, Strzelecki Metals Limited and the non-executive Chairman of CRW Holdings Limited. He is the former non-executive Chairman of Newport Mining Limited and a former Director of WCP Resources and Kagera Nickel Limited. Mr Evans is also a member of the Audit Committee.

 

Dr Richard Valenta, BSC,PhD, P.Geo (ON,NL) MAUSIMM (Managing Director)

Dr Rick Valenta has 30 years of exploration experience in Australia, Canada, Turkey, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and other parts of Latin America. Rick has a proven track record for discovery of high-grade gold, copper-gold and uranium resources and has been directly involved in the greenfield exploration, discovery and development of multi-million ounce gold and world-class uranium resources in the Americas and Asia.

Prior to joining Chesser, Rick was Chief Operating Officer of TSX-listed Fronteer Development, Chief Geoscientist of TSX-listed Aurora Energy Resources, and Central American Exploration Manager for Mount Isa Mines Exploration.

He is also Managing Director of Bondi Mining Ltd.

 

Mr Simon O'Loughlin, BA (Acc) (Non-Executive Director)

Simon O’Loughlin is the founding member of O’Loughlins Lawyers, an Adelaide based medium sized specialist commercial law firm.

For many years he has practiced in both the corporate and commercial fields in both Sydney and Adelaide, most recently focusing on the resources sector. Simon also holds accounting qualifications.

Simon is the Chairman of Bondi Mining Limited, Avenue Resources Ltd and Kibaran Nickel Ltd and a Non-executive Director of Petratherm Limited, Probiomics Limited, Living Cell Technologies Limited, WCP Resources Limited, Aura Energy Limited and Strezlecki Metals Ltd.

Simon has extensive experience and involvement with companies in the small industrial and resources sectors. He has also been involved in the listing and back-door listing of numerous companies on the ASX and National Stock Exchanges. He is a former Chairman of the Taxation Institute of Australia (SA Division) and Save the Children Fund (SA Division). Mr O‟Loughlin is also a member of the Audit Committee.

 

Mr Simon Taylor, BSc(Geology), MAIG, GCertAppFin(Finsia) (Non-Executive Director)

Mr Taylor is a geologist with 20 years experience throughout Australia and overseas having held senior geologist and exploration manager positions for numerous ASX listed resource companies. He has gained considerable experience in exploration, project assessment and joint venture negotiations. His experience includes providing consulting services to resource companies and financial corporations as a resource analyst where he had a major interest in the phosphate sector. Mr Taylor’s corporate experience includes project appraisal, advice on placements and fundraising. Mr Taylor is a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists.

Mr Taylor was appointed a Non-Executive Director of the Company in March 2007 and is currently Managing Director of Aguia Resources (appointed 25th February 2010). During the three year period to the end of the financial year, Mr Taylor has held directorships in Bondi Mining Limited (July 2006 – March 2010), Aguia Resources Limited (November 2007 – present) and Probiomics Limited (July 2008 – present).

 

Creagh O’Connor, BEc, LLC, ACA (Non-Executive Director)

Mr O’Connor is a founding Director of specialist resource and energy investment bank, Gryphon Partners Advisory Pty Limited (‘Gryphon’).

Recent advisory assignments undertaken by Gryphon include: Citadel’s recent A$250 million equity raising, OZ Resources’ sale of the Martabe gold project for US$211 million, Beach Petroleum’s sale of its Tipton West interest for up to $400 million, Oxiana Limited’s merger with Zinifex Limited, Lion Selection Limited’s successful defence of the Indophil Resources NL takeover, Oxiana Limited’s A$265 million acquisition of the Golden Grove base and precious metals operation in Western Australia; Oxiana’s $415 million takeover of Agincourt Resources; the initial public offering of (uranium company) Toro Energy Limited; the A$80 million acquisition of (gold company) Sedimentary Holdings Limited by AuSelect Limited; and Agincourt Resources Limited’s US$80 million acquisition of (gold company) Sedimentary Holdings Limited by AuSelect Limited.

Prior to establishing Gryphon, Mr O’Connor was employed by the Normandy Mining Company in a variety of roles including Company General Manager of Business Development for Normandy Mining Limited having joined in 1993. Prior to this, he spent 13 years specialising in corporate finance, advisory roles and providing general financial advice in Australia and Europe. Mr O’Connor has held numerous directorships of resource companies and he is currently a Non-Executive Director of Bondi Mining Limited.

Company Secretary; Ms Kerry Angel, B.Bus (Acc & Bus. Law), CPA

Kerry has been an accountant for twenty years. She has experience working in the resource sector and with listed companies and is the Company Secretary for Bondi Mining Limited. Kerry was appointed company secretary on 9 June 2010.
